Like the name suggests, GE's Profile series targets those who want to incorporate cutting-edge technology into their kitchen. This fridge is loaded with these, from an inside-the-door Keurig K-cup coffee maker to a sophisticated water dispenser. But these flourishes don't mask mediocre performance, especially in the refrigerator's freezer and an ineffective temperature-controlled drawer. This fridge is expensive and I was expecting better.
This refrigerator is a good choice, despite the blip. It features a large freezer compartment, which is unusual for counter-depth French-door refrigerators. It also holds a lot of frozen food items compared to other models.
The fridge has 17 shelves and compartments. The refrigerator compartment is 18.5 cubic feet, which is standard for a fridge with a French door at this price. It has a decent sized icemaker in the left door. But it's not the most spacious one I've seen.
You can alter the shelves in both compartments to make the perfect storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS is attractive. The LED lighting adds a nice feature. The bins for storage inside include a third shelf that can be folded down to store large items. The drawers include temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage or Deli settings. They're easy to open and close, although I found their textured plastic coatings to be a bit hard on the fingers.
The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with the complete set of features you'd expect from a fridge at this price that includes Wi-Fi as well as app support via GE's SmartHQ software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, lets you control your fridge from anywhere in world, and has many options for customizing. It also sends you notifications when doors are left open, when your fridge or freezer is in need of defrosting, and when it's time to change the filter.
It is nice to have GE PYE22PYNFS offered Precise fill, an option available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allows users to set the number of cups they would like to dispense. The fridge shows a countdown to display how much water remains, but it's not as useful as Precise Fill.
Bosch Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is a stunning piece of equipment. It's designed to appear like a seamless piece of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps vegetables and fruits fresher for longer periods, and two compressors to preserve food. The ice maker we tested is one of the most efficient and produces the shape of a pyramid using only water. This fridge is ideal for a small household or a kitchenette with an attractive design and top of the best food preservation.

Inside, the refrigerator has a standard French-door layout with gallon-sized door bins on each door as well as two rows of spill-capture shelves and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf on the right can be folded down to give tall items more space. There's also a full-width drawer for deli items and an internal water dispenser.
One of the nice features of this refrigerator is that the ice maker is inside the freezer, which makes it easy to move ice into the fridge to use as needed. The freezer is designed with thoughtful elements, too, like sliding drawers that can help you better organize the placement of items. It also has a large container for storing frozen food, and a separate container for ice.
Another great feature of this refrigerator is its Smart InstaView panel. It allows you to control the temperature of your fridge and lighting via your smartphone. It's a good way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, especially if you're away from home.
The Smart InstaView feature is neat but it doesn't enhance the efficiency of the fridge. This fridge took longer to defrost food and chill it than some others we tried. This is likely due to the larger capacity.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
If you're looking for an French door refrigerator that won't cost you a fortune this Frigidaire is a solid option. It's a basic refrigerator which may not be as appealing as some of its competitors, but it still has enough features to make it a good option. Its most important feature, the adjustable temperature drawer, helps to keep food items like meat and vegetables fresher for longer. It also comes with a large water and ice maker dispenser.
The "Chill Drawer", which sits over the two crisper bins, is another great feature. This drawer allows you to use the majority of the fridge's cooling power to this area so it can be used to store food items that require extra attention. This feature can be adjusted by using a slider on the outside of the drawer. You can also alter the general cooling settings for the entire fridge. I've noticed that the generic settings are more effective than the specific ones.
In my experiments, I noticed that the temperatures in the refrigerator were fairly consistent across different areas of the refrigerator. The temperatures in the top, bottom and middle of the fridge didn't differ significantly from 38 degrees. This is a great performance, but it doesn't quite make it to the top of our ratings.
This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. You can also connect this fridge to a smart thermometer for more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.
The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is made of grey-bodied stainless steel with a "smudge-proof" finish. It repels fingerprints and streaks better than other stainless steel finishes I've seen.
